Lunkers lingering!

Had a great night a few weeks back, caught 3 of these 20" LMB on weightless senko worms...

Going fishing....In Florida

I am heading down to Florida for the week for some rest and relaxation.  That of course involves fishing!  So we will see what we catch while we are down there.  From what I understand the spanish mackeral are running right where we stay so it could be a good time.  I'll make sure to post what I catch!

Texas rigged wiggly worm

Not sure how much he weighed but he was a good size fish.  It was kinda windy maybe 55 degrees.  I caught him at the Endeavor Pond off the east end deck.  I used a 3/0 hook Texas rigged with a green pumpkin wiggly worm.

Heading back to Endeavor

Well I am heading back to Endeavor Elementary school and hoping to find a few more ponds around that area...think I am going to try the Steelcase side...updates coming soon.

Nice fish!

I caught this fish 6 days ago right by Endeavor Elementry. There are 4 ponds around the area that I wanted to check out. It was a really nice clear day and I got there around 6:30 pm. I had never been there before so I was walking around trying to get a lay of the land and make sure there weren't any signs saying I couldn't fish, there were none so I walked around to the pond that was right at the corner of 60th and East Paris. Fishing for about 10 min with no bites I was surprised by a large bass about 3 feet in front of me...so surprised I think I pulled the lure out of his mouth before he could bite it! Later as I was moving around different spots with no bites I met a guy named Tony that was also fishing the pond. Surprisingly we were the only 2 out there. After talking for a while I threw a Booya! buzz bait into the center of the pond and hooked into this lunker. The only fish of the night but it was well worth it. A nice fish and a possible fishing buddy. Thats a good day!

Where do you fish in Grand Rapids?

Hey everyone I am making this blog so I can find out where you fish in and around the city of Grand Rapids. Its tough to find good spots that are easily located and easilly accessible around the area and I am wondering if you have some good spots. In my future posts I will let you know where I go. I'll report what I was using, what I caught, and other key stats. Also hopefully posts some tips from my experience and yours. So comment if you will or e-mail me at cbreuk@gmail.com with pics and places!!
